In a time of profound global disruptions, Politics of Being – Wisdom and Science for a New Development Paradigm by Thomas Legrand, PhD, offers a visionary and grounded framework for how politics can be reimagined as a pathway toward individual and collective flourishing and evolution. This book, which received the Nautilus Book Award Grand Prize in 2024, has been recognized by prominent spiritual, political, and academic leaders as a breakthrough, enabling the positioning of these ideas in the mainstream conversation.
Many readers have expressed their wishes to dive deeper into this work and share with peers its resonance with their own personal experiences and perspectives, as a way to process and integrate more fully this reflection.
This book club invites participants into a transformative space of heartfelt dialogue, deep listening and courageous reflection where the personal and the political meet. It intends to be an important step in building a community around the Politics of Being vision, as well as an opportunity to figure out how to empower participants to offer themselves such Politics of Being Book Clubs.

This will take the form of 8 monthly 2-hour sessions on zoom, each dedicated to a book’s part to read in advance. Each session will be following a similar structure centered around sharing circles, preceded by a short meditation and introduction on the book’s part to be discussed, and concluded by a short time for harvest, integration and check-out.

Emelina Corrales, coach and facilitator, poet, co-creator of the Politics of Being, will be facilitating this book club. As Thomas Legrand’s partner, she has been closely involved in shaping Politics of Being.
Thomas Legrand, author of Politics of Being, will participate in some sessions, including the first and the final one.
